The fierce trap beef between Crispy Malawi (Spe) and S Khrizy is reaching a boiling point as the two rivals prepare to share the same stage at the Independence Celebration Show tonight at Wakawaka in Lilongwe. What started as a battle for sonic supremacy has evolved into a full-scale war between their respective factions, Abale and Anzanga. Tonight's event marks the first time both artists will be forced to stand under the same spotlight since their lyrical dispute turned highly personal.

Industry insiders report that the bad blood began when S Khrizy approached Spe for a musical collaboration and was bluntly turned down. Adding fuel to the fire, fans heavily critiqued S Khrizy's early music, accusing him of copying Spe’s signature trap flow and style. In response, S Khrizy embraced the villain role. He launched Anzanga, a movement deliberately engineered to directly rival and dismantle Spe’s highly successful Abale brand and Mario Bros collective. S Khrizy went on the record declaring his mission was to eliminate the group's influence piece by piece (kupha mmodzi mmodzi ndimalize kagulu konseko).

Spe threw the first punch in his track Umpeze, rapping "Upeze opanga naye zakozo" (Find someone else to do your things with), a direct swipe at S Khrizy’s alleged desperation for a feature. S Khrizy quickly fired back in his own music, "Ndakupeza iweyo opanga naye zangazi" (I have found you, the one I am doing my things with).

In March 2026, S Khrizy dropped the vicious diss track Kwakwana. He took direct aim at Spe’s lifestyle, rapping "Amangotchena pa Gala" (He only dresses well at graduation galas).

The feud truly set social media ablaze during the music video for Kwakwana. In a highly provocative move, S Khrizy is filmed tearing and burning an official Abale T-shirt, a direct disrespect to Spe's core brand identity.

While Spe has chosen to remain mostly tight-lipped in public, his fiercely loyal fan base and peripheral artists have picked up the slack. A devoted Abale follower, Drug Pop, released a counter-diss titled Zinyama, rapping "Olo utang'ambatu mayala, A'b.a.l.e ndi omwe akuwala" (Even if you tear the clothes, Abale is the one that shines).

Tonight at Wakawaka, the luxury of hiding behind smartphone screens and studio microphones disappears. Performing alongside legendary acts like the Black Missionaries and the Zembani Band, both Spe and S Khrizy will have to command the exact same stage. For the fans, the central question is no longer just about who has the better streaming numbers, but who can actually back up their claims live. Security will likely be on high alert to ensure that the intense energy of the Abale vs. Anzanga rivalry stays purely musical and does not spill over into physical confrontation in the capital city.
